De Havilland Beaver # 12
Meet CF-FHC. Foxtrot Hotel Charlie is a 1948 De Havilland Beaver, #12 in a series of over 1,700 that rolled off the Montreal based company's assembly line.
During the process of this year, 2006, Pacific Rim Aviation Inc. is working toward establishing a link from Pitt Meadows Regional Airport to Vancouver Island. Our mandate is to bring you better service and connections to island destinations that will get you where you want to go, efficiently and cost effectively.
Pitt Meadows Airport, approximately thirty five kilometres east of downtown Vancouver, British Columbia. This centrally located station provides quick and easy access to any and all water based points from Victoria's Inner Harbour to Desolation Sound's Island Paradise to Vancouver International's float plane dock at the "south terminal".
A new Hartzell triple bladed "quiet" propeller has recently been added to the aircraft to ensure that noise abatement requirements as outlined by the busy harbours we fly into are met and adhered to with the highest of standards.
The Beaver was aptly named "Lucky Strike", by a 100 year old Danish pilot. Beaver #12 is an original aircraft with an illustrious career of float flying both on the coast and in the Northern Lakes of Alberta and Saskatchewan.
Imagine flying into a crisp, pristine alpine lake along with your friends, some camping gear, packs and maybe even your favorite canoe. You dream it and we'll take you there.

Pacific Rim Aviation Academy Ltd:
The beauty and power of flight was given to me through a flying scholarship from the Air Cadet League and the Canadian Airforce when I was 16 years of age and has since, without question, been the single most defining aspect of my life.
Flying is a passion and I am delighted to be able to be in a position to bring you the very best of what I have learned from 31 years of classroom instruction and over 2800 hours of recreational flying and flight time.
Specifically, we are geared to offer Pilot Training for individuals wishing to obtain a Private, Commercial, Night or Instrument Rating. Most recently we have purchased a beautiful Cessna 172 on EDO 2130 Floats...the training machine that will get you your own 10 Hour Float Rating.
Ground School is offered at the Pitt Meadow base of operation and at a new and revolutionary urban base in North Vancouver. Both sites are set up to provide top quality ground school education with provisions which more than satisfy Transport Canada's curriculum requirements. The cost is set at $599.00 which includes a 60 hour + program complete with state of the art materials and reference guides.
The Urban based school at #201-1410 Marine Drive in North Vancouver is centrally located providing students with the opportunity to access evening classes which saves time, money and energy. The North Van school has already attracted over 45 students who have either succeeded in getting their Pilot's licence or are training for their Private Endorsement.
