Congratulations

...To Andi Mae Warner (17) and to Samantha Warner (16) our Sister Act, who recently flew almost perfect Flight Test Scores on their way to the achievement of their Private Pilot's Licence.  These two High School aged students attended ground school, trained at Pacific Rim Aviation Academy, wrote their Goverment Examinations and managed to finish off their duties by flying their practical examinations at the same time that the Olympic Area Restrictions have been placing stringent airspace regulations on each and every General Aviation Pilot.  Their work was superlative.  Their committment to Aviation complete and unswerving.  Sincere Congratulations to the both of you.

...to our Spanish Fly...Edmundo Gonzalez from Mexico City.  Eddie just finished the Flight Test, completed the application and paper work for the Private Pilot's Licence and is smiling from ear to ear!  Excellent work Eddie.  Enjoy your break and we'll see you back here in a month to start the Commercial.

...to our visiting Japanese Pilot, Shingo Hisamura on the incredible score achieved on his Pirvate Pilot Written Examination.  Yes!  This ESL student scored two 90% marks on Air Law and General Knowledge, 65% on Navigation and 80% on the Meteorology Section of the Exam. This is an outstanding score and one which will create a standard for others to match.  Congratulations and Arigato...

...Float Ratings galore at Pacific Rim Aviation.  Two more Ratings completed during this last week alone.  Congratulations to Maher Fahmi and David Hofer on the completion of their seven hour float ratings in our Cessna 172, GKPD. Give us a call and work through the flying for a great experience on the water.  Fly with our excellent Instructor, Luke Howard and have a great time on the water and our local lakes.

To our two most recent Solo performers, Mr. Mike Butorac and Mr. Ryan Russell both of whom carried their training moments to a wonderful and super well organized circuit...complete with the softest and most perfect of landings one might imagine.  Congratulations and we look forward to a little more weather to aviate, navigate and communicate!

...to Denis Byrne for an absolutely outstanding grade on his written Private Pilot Licence Examination!  Denis scored a perfect 100% on the Navigation portion of his exam.  97% on Air Law and General Knowledge and managed a 85% score on the Meteorology section of this very challenging examination.  You are a superstar Denis and an inspiration for us all.  Keep up the great effort and let's take it to the top with the Practical Flight Test.

...to Motokazu!!!  The solo flight experience was the culmination of years of dreaming of powered flight and being at the controls of an aircraft.  Moto did an amazing job on this first solo performance and managed to grease the landing on a day that held a slight cross wind.  This Japanese automobile engineer did an amazing job complete with accurate and perfectly executed radio procedures.  Way to to Moto!

...to Ms. Sylvia Fletcher on the first Solo Flight Moment of her colourful career.  Yes...everyone...Sylvia did it and soloed in Cessna 152 QOU on Saturday, December 12, 2009 during a day that held overcast skies but not enough to dampen the enthusiasm for this moment and the success that Sylvia so thirsted for. Congratulations of a job well done and for counting 1...2...3...  Next comes the 737!

...to Thomas Joseph Sambell on the first solo moment of a dream come true event.  Joe has taken all of his passion for aviation and brought it to a reality when yesterday he took UZD to the clear blue cold of the morning's High Pressure system and flew to become a Legend.  You managed to put everything together Joe and are well deserving of this incredible achievement.  Out and backs are next with your own bird's eye view of the city!

...for your written examinations.  We have a super examination centre and a great opportunity to write the exam on your  terms.  We are open from 7:00 a.m. until you are ready to go home. Give us a call for your requirements and we'll do what we can for you including a briefing before the exam guaranteed to clean up some of the corners that you are worried about.
